“I’m watching with concentration.”
NC Dinos is in the midst of quenching in Tucson, Arizona, USA to prepare for the 2023 season. NC included new pitcher Shin Young-woo (19) in the 1st round of 2023 and new pitcher Lee Jun-ho (23) in the 6th round in the roster for this spring camp.
Lee Jun-ho is sweating as he enters his first professional spring camp. As a college graduate rookie who graduated from Gyeongnam High School and Sungkyunkwan University, he has attracted attention for his excellent control since his flax days바카라. The club is also looking forward to it as much as they immediately think of it as a sense of power.
He also has international competition experience. He played an active part in the ‘4th WBSC (World Baseball Softball Confederation) U-23 Baseball World Cup’ held in Taiwan last year. He pitched in 3 games (1 start) and energized the national team mound by recording 2 wins, an average ERA of 3.94 and 5 strikeouts in 5⅓ innings.
Kang In-kwon (51), NC coach, is also looking forward to Lee Jun-ho’s potential and is closely examining his skills by including him in the spring camp roster.
NC had a lot of trouble with the starting lineup last year. Foreign pitcher Wes Parsons (31) was unable to properly play the starting rotation due to frequent back pain. Shin Min-hyeok (24) and Song Myung-ki (23), who will fill the spot, left a bit of a disappointment with their somewhat ups and downs. The team came up from the bottom at the beginning of the season and competed to advance to the postseason at the end, but the 4th and 5th starters did not support it.
This year, the 1st to 3rd selections have been somewhat outlined. The team will consist of foreign pitchers Eric Peddy (30), Taylor Widener (29), and Koo Chang-mo (26). Several candidates, including Shin Min-hyuk and Song Myeong-ki, who were starting pitchers last year, discharged from the military, and new players, will compete for the remaining positions.
In this position, Lee Jun-ho also presented a challenge. In particular, there may be a gap in the starting lineup because the league is not suspended during the Hangzhou Asian Games in September. Coach Kang is considering players as starting candidates in preparation for such various variables.
In an interview with Sports Time, coach Kang said, “I am focusing on Shin Young-woo and Lee Jun-ho (among the new players). There will be Asian Games this year, and as the season goes on, there will be gaps and variables in the starting lineup. In preparation for that, Shin Young-woo and Lee Jun-ho We are keeping an eye on him. He has good skills, so we expect him to play a good role as a substitute starter.”
6th round pitcher Lee Jun-ho is receiving as much anticipation as a top round player. I wonder how he will perform in his first year of debut.
