Pro soccer Busan I-Park has renewed contracts with goalkeeper Koo Sang-min, defenders Park Ho-young and Han Hee-hoon, and midfielder Seong Ho-young.
Goalkeeper Koo Sang-min’s strength is his kicking power and unique agility. In 2014, he joined the Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Chosun Football Team in the National League and took the starting position from his first year. In 2015, he contributed to the victory of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and became the National League MVP, and was ranked in the best 11 for two consecutive years. He moved to Busan in the 2016 season and is firmly guarding the team’s goal.

Defender Park Ho-young was born at Kaesong High School, a U-18 youth team in Busan, and went straight to pro upon graduating from high school in 2018. He is a central defender with excellent footwork skills as well as a header and stable ball keeping that utilizes his tall height of 194cm. Defender Han Hee-hoon, wearing a Busan uniform through the transfer market in the summer of 2022, played for Bucheon FC 1995, Daegu FC, and Gwangju FC through the Japanese J-League. In particular, he served as captain in Daegu and helped win the Korea Football Association (FA) Cup. He has a calm, stable defense and good control of the ball in the air. Midfielder Sung Ho-young, who went through Busan U-18 Kaesong High School, joined Busan in the 2020 season. His quick attack development and excellent technique make use of his play are of a high standard. He impressed Busan fans by scoring a goal in the last home game of the 2022 season. As his years go by, the number of his business trips increases and he is showing his true value.
Seong Ho-young said, “I got a chance in the second half of last year and played the game, but he doesn’t seem to be able to show a lot of good looks. He expressed his determination, saying, “I will try to show a better image this year.”
