Boston’s hopes of an upset have been dealt a blow ahead of Game 6. Malcolm Brogdon (30, 196cm), who leads the bench, will miss Game 6.
Casey Smith, who covers the Boston Celtics, reported on Monday that Malcolm Brogdon will be out for Game 6.
Brogdon suffered a forearm injury in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Miami. Brogdon played with a brace on his right forearm in the aftermath of the injury, but the pain built up to the point where he was unable to play in the series and was ruled out of Game 6.메이저놀이터
It’s a big blow for Boston, which is looking to bounce back after three straight losses. Brogdon has played in 18 games this playoffs, averaging 12.6 points (42.5 per cent FG), 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists off the bench. Brogdon’s absence will be filled by the likes of Peyton Pritchard (25, 185cm) and Sam Hauser (25, 203cm). “With Brogdon out, Pritchard and Hauser are expected to step up,” Smith said. Boston plans to go with a seven-man rotation in Game 6.”
Meanwhile, Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent (26, 190 cm), who missed Game 5 with an ankle injury, is expected to play in Game 6. With Miami still leading the series 3-2, it will be interesting to see how the injury factor plays into the outcome of Game 6. [Injury updates as of 8:30 a.m. ET, 28 May]
