Players with deep ties to the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Trophy, which celebrated its 42nd this year, gathered together.
Park Sang-hyun and Lee Tae-hee, who won the championship twice, Kim Bio, and even Choi Sang-ho, a ‘living legend’.
If this year’s champion emerges from among those who enjoyed the victory amidst the celebrations of the galleries flocking like a cloud, a three-time winner will be born for the first time in the event’s history.
Last year’s champion Kim Bio is determined to be named the first winner of Namseoul CC for two consecutive years.

– “I’ve never defended a title before, but as a defending champion, I want to defend the title at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open in 2023.”
Although the course was different, Lee Tae-hee, who won the tournament for the first time in two years in a row, and Park Sang-hyun, the ‘Man of Namseoul CC’, who took first place in average at bats and prize money this season, are counted as the first to win.

– “There are always so many cloud-like galleries. I try hard to enjoy it, and I think it’s because there are so many people like that, so I feel empowered.”
As it is the most prestigious competition in Korea, the winner is given a prize money of 300 million won and a 5-year domestic tour and 2-year Asian tour.스포츠토토
