US female track and field athlete Tori Bowie ( pictured ) , who won a gold medal at the Rio Olympics, died suddenly at the age of 33.

Bowie is an American track and field star who has won multiple medals on the world stage. “We are deeply saddened by Bowie’s passing,” the American Track and Field Federation said in a statement.
